40k: Daemons Campaign List (2)
As mentioned in my previous post I am thinking of going for a mixed Daemon army over a mono list, a first for me!
The list as it is would be:
1000 Pts – Chaos Daemons Roster
1000 Pts – Chaos Daemons Roster
HQ: Lord of Change (1#, 310 pts)
1 Lord of Change, 310 pts (Boon of Mutation; Breath of Chaos)Troops: Pink Horrors of Tzeentch (9#, 168 pts)
8 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch, 168 pts (Bolt of Tzeentch x1)
1 The ChangelingFast Attack: Screamers of Tzeentch (3#, 48 pts)
3 Screamers of Tzeentch, 48 ptsHQ: Keeper of Secrets (1#, 200 pts)
1 Keeper of Secrets, 200 ptsTroops: Daemonettes of Slaanesh (12#, 168 pts)
12 Daemonettes of Slaanesh, 168 ptsFast Attack: Seekers of Slaanesh (6#, 102 pts)
6 Seekers of Slaanesh, 102 ptsTotal Roster Cost: 996
One of the objectives in the campaign is to take out opposing HQ choices, through doing this you count as rolling a six towards a campaign upgrade (normally you need to roll a 6 if you survive to gain a upgrade), meaning as long as whatever it is that killed the HQ lives, they get a free buff! At the end of the first part of the campaign I currently have a squad of Horrors with Stealth and Feel-no-Pain, which is handy!
The force organisation changes from previously (1 HQ and 2 Troops as usual, then up to 2 more troops, 2 Fast, no Heavy or Elite or another HQ) depending what Sector you joined. Each sector gives the winner of that sector a benefit, but also changes the chart a little. The Sector I joined gains another HQ slot.. and that is about it! I think I gain some more troops too.. yay.
So going with what I have.. In the new list the Keeper of Secrets would be used to assassinate the opposing HQ choice, 6 attacks should be able to do that. The rest of the list will do what it does best, either chop stuff or shoot stuff!
I’ve figured a new tactic for the Screamers to make them a little more useful; instead of assaulting a vehicle that has moved I will simply park in front of it and force it to tank shock me. I then death-or-glory with a melta-bomb! Take that stupidly fast Blood Angel rhinos!
