Ravenwing: The Master’s Land Speeder

January 30th 2010 -

Yesterday all my classes were cancelled, so I thought I’d finish of a project of my own.
I say finish.. but it’s 95% done. All that’s left is to sculpt some cloaks/robes coming from the crew. So far I’m really happy with how this model has turned out!

I used what was left of Sgt Chronus (UM techmarine dude..) and the rest of the metal bits were nabbed from the Master Jetbike. As mentioned all that’s left to do is sculpt some robes!

  • Is there any chance you could squeeze a modified shoulder pad onto the chronus guy?
  • I Might be able too...

Looks great man, but um, why does the TLHB not have ammo boxes?
  • Ah I wondered how long it'd take someone to see that!
It DID have one.. then after I added the book it wouldnt fit. I'll re-add
    one shortly :)

Here's an idea, give them ammo belts kinda like a Razorback, but have the hanging down on the right side of the hull, attached to a box at the bottom, or on the side where that little door is.
  • Hmmm.. I'm liking that idea :) Will see what I can do.Hmmm.. I'm liking that idea :) Will see what I can do.

Wow is all I can say. I really love how you did the base. How does the speeder attach to it?
  • Cheers :)
It's just pinned, a big pin/rod through the plastic into the base at an
angle, covered in the white pumice, the a hole drilled in the sensor bit,
comes on and off easily too!
Will put some more photos of it up soon when I get round to painting it :)

Tiim, that is fantastic. If I may be so bold as to offer an idea? Your fellow behind the HB's pointing....if you can (I know i can't!) it would look real cool if you could model his other hand holding the HB's and turning them to face the way he is pointing, as though he is trying to get his shot off ASAP. If you see what i mean.
  • Hmm.. that would have been a good idea before I glued it dammit ;)
The sit to get both of them in was EXTREMELY tight.. the gunner doesnt
actually have a shoulder pad ... But because of the position of Sammys other
arm his arm sort of ventures into the gunners half, making it tight
