Desert Themed Gaming Board

Ok so I’ve been stupidly busy running my Games Workshop store over Christmas, which is why there hasn’t been a post on here for such a long time!
I’ve been up to a few different things over January, I’ve built some models, painted a board, painted scenery, built some more models and ate cake on my Birthday!
First up the board I painted the other week, I went for a desert board (I like desert bases.. Check the gallery!) as I thought it was different to the other store boards and was quite bright. I painted a set of both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar scenery for it too. I used the Citadel Base Sprays (Zandri Dust of course) and then Drybrushed it Ungor Flesh and Pallid Wych Flesh. I stuck some old movement trays on to act as flooring for the ruins and blended them in with texture paint.
The scenery was sprayed with the Base Sprays, then some drybrushing and washes it was all done! The 40k scenery I sprayed Mechanicus Standard Grey and then dusted with Corax White from above and then dusted the bottoms with Zandri Dust. Next I drybrushed it some silvers and washed the recesses Sepia.
The Age of Sigmar Scenery was sprayed Zandri Dust, Oversprayed Corax White and then drybrushed Pallid Wych Flesh. I then made a 50/50 mix of Sepia and Lahmian Medium, washed it lightly into the recesses and then wiped it back off.
If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments! 🙂
