Storm of Magic!

Played a game of the new Storm of Magic expansion. I can say that I enjoyed it despite getting completely battered, I was using dwarves and one of my runedudes got kicked off his fulcrum turn one, meaning my opponent had dominance level spells, then irresistibly cast a spell that makes my Movement, Bs, Ws and Ld 1.. and then used his screaming skull catapults to make me take mass panic checks (he was using tomb kings). Add to that that my rolls were atrocious all game (apart from a good round of shooting).

I haven’t decided on the extra 600 pts for the monsters and stuff yet.. probably something speedy as I have trouble taking back fulcrums (as I don’t have access to magical duel etc). I’ve gone for some hard-to-move runedudes, one with scout to go with miners, so they can come on any board edge to charge the closest fulcrum and hopefully budge the opposing wizard off it. I’ve kept some elements of the gunline in there as they’ll be good monster hunters!

    You could go for a Truthsayer, or one of the monsters that is also a wizard like the Lammasu. Help make up for the lack of native magic in your list.
