WARHAMMER COMMISSION PAINTING SERVICE
The Vanus Temple is a full time professional commission painting service based in Hull, UK,
Hello and welcome to my Commission painting service site! TVT Studio is one of the leading independent Commission Studios in the UK and since 2008 I have offered a professional miniature Commission Painting Service for any and all miniatures and figures from a wide variety of gaming systems and companies.
I’m a full-time professional commission painter and unlike other studios or commission services, your models are only handled and painted by myself. All emails and conversations are through me and not a third party or administrative assistant – this way you get exactly what you want without delays and you know exactly where your models are!
I mainly paint Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 commissions, but I am open to painting miniatures and models from any tabletop game, including board games/pieces, busts and display pieces.

Above is a rough indication of how much a commission will cost. I’ve tried to keep the structure simple so you know exactly what you’re getting and how much it’ll cost. A more detailed explanations on each level of painting and what it includes can be found below.
I offer three levels of painting:
The Tabletop Quality is exactly as it sounds, ideal for tabletop gaming! This is a basic level of painting and includes a basic level of basing. I can also include basic weathering and glow effects if you desire them! Perfect for tournament armies and casual gaming.
The fee of the Table-top level is the same as what the model would cost to buy from the manufacturer at full RRP.

Above Table-top Quality
The Above Tabletop Quality is a higher level of painting, with more advanced techniques, basing weathering and glow effects if you desire them! Perfect for tournament armies, casual gaming and display pieces.
The fee of the Above Table-top level is double what the model would cost to buy from the manufacturer at full RRP.

The top level of service I offer is Professional Quality. Models painted to this level have extra time, care and attention for a higher quality finish compared to the other levels. Ideal for character figures to lead your army and display models.
The fee for Professional Quality is triple what the model would cost to buy from the manufacturer at full RRP.

Of course, feel free to contact me for an exact quote if you’re wanting something different or unusual. If you are wanting a large amount of models painted I can offer bulk discounts.
As well as a Painting service I offer the following services:
Building of Models
I prefer that models are built and cleaned before arrival, however, I can also do this for you for 30% of the RRP. This involves cleaning of mold lines, building the miniatures and any work deemed necessary such as drilling gun barrels. This cost covers materials and time needed to build your models.
Simple conversions are covered in the Building of the Models quote as above, however if you’re looking for something more extravagant or some sculpting these are quoted separately, simply contact me and I can give you an estimate!
Purchasing of Models
I can purchase models on your behalf directly from the manufacturer or a trusted independent stockist. The funds for purchasing models must be paid in full and before the project starts. The funds for purchasing of models is sent via a separate invoice via Paypal (see below) which will include the additional Paypal fees to cover the transaction – I make zero profit on purchasing models.
Alternatively you can have models shipped directly to my studio.
Time Frame of Commissions
I will calculate how long it will take me to complete your commission during our initial emails.
Commission dates are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and other working delays. All commissions are treated on a First Come First Served basis but any issues will be discussed with you and new arrangements made upon both party agreements if there is a possibility of a delay.
Most visual updates are made via email, and may also appear on Facebook, Instagram and here on the blog.
Payment of Commissions
I ask for 25% of the commission fee up front to cover the costs of paints and materials I use as well as securing yourself a commission slot. When the project is complete and you are happy you simply pay the other 75% and I post the models!
Payments are made via my business Paypal account. When you are ready to pay the deposit I send over an invoice using Paypal’s invoicing tool for payment. I ask that clients cover the cost of the Paypal fees, this will be included in the invoice.
Deposits are non-refundable if you wish to cancel a project (see the terms and conditions), however, all models will be returned unless work has already begun on the project.
